Mel is the Sports Dietician for both the GWS Giants AFL & GWS Netball Squads. When she is not travelling with the teams, she is available at the Sydney Academy Of Sport at Narrabeen for private consultations.
It is Mel’s mission to simplify diet and nutrition and help people see food as more than just calories.
A balanced diet should not deprive you of foods you love but instead help you to be the healthiest, happiest version of yourself and enable you to thrive in our ever-changing world.
She takes an individualised approach to help people find a solution that is suited to them and their lifestyle. Everyone is different. Each individual has their own stresses, jobs, day to day routines, sleep patterns, hormone levels, biochemical makeup, taste buds, bone composition and many more.
With this in mind, how can it be that there is one way of eating that simply suits everyone? Mel finds diet patterns that suits an individual’s lifestyle, their body & helps them achieve individualised goals.
A Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician is a mental health professional, dietitian or GP with the qualifications, experience and training to provide safe and effective eating disorder care.
Mel has the qualifications & training to provide to provide safe and effective eating disorder care. She is trained in early identification, initial response, treatment & recovery.
All Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinicians have been through an application process, managed by ANZAED, which includes providing evidence of meeting the Credential’s specific criteria.

GPs have a crucial role in the medical management of eating disorders, & are trained in screening, assessment & diagnosis of eating disorders, and refer patients for treatment. Ongoing medical monitoring is essential for those experiencing an eating disorder.
Mel is a member of Sports Dieticians Australia and Dieticians Australia who help Australians maximise their exercise goals with credible nutrition & accurate nutritional information, based on scientific evidence.
