What are the benefits of Hydrotherapy?
The buoyancy and resistance of water allows you to:
- Reduce joint and tissue load.
- Move with less pain – supported by the water.
- Train strength and control safely.
- Progress exercise earlier than on land – sometimes allowing a transition to land based exercise (Strong & Steady) & other times, replacing land based exercise.
Combined with physiotherapy guidance, hydrotherapy becomes a powerful tool for both rehabilitation and performance.
Aquacare.
Small Group Hydrotherapy (Max 4 Participants)
Aquacare is our gentler, highly supervised hydrotherapy program, ideal for people who need closer attention or are early in their recovery.
Aquacare is well suited for:
- Post-operative rehabilitation.
- Acute or persistent pain conditions.
- Joint stiffness or arthritis.
- Reduced confidence with land-based exercise.
Sessions focus on improving movement, reducing pain and gradually rebuilding strength in a supportive environment, with exercises modified to each individual within the small group setting.
Aquastrength.
Physiotherapy-Led Aquatic Strength (Max 8 Participants)
Aquastrength is designed for those ready to build strength, fitness and confidence while still benefiting from the support & reduced load of water.
Aquastrength is ideal for:
- Ongoing joint or spinal conditions
- Return-to-exercise or sport preparation
- Strength and conditioning with lower joint impact
- Individual fitness goals in a supervised group environment
Sessions have a stronger emphasis on progressive resistance, endurance and functional strength, with physiotherapists adjusting intensity and exercises to suit each participant.
