Could It Be A Frozen Shoulder?

COULD IT BE A FROZEN SHOULDER?
Frozen shoulders can be a bit sneaky.
They can develop slowly, sometimes after another injury or arrive suddenly for no obvious reason.

A Frozen Shoulder Is Characterised By:
> Severe shoulder pain at rest & activity
> Increasing active & passive stiffness – in all directions
> Normal imaging
> Night pain & unable to sleep on that side

ASSESS | Physiotherapists are trained to assess your painful & stiff shoulder & together with your doctor, plan & manage your rehabilitation through the phases.

TREATMENT | Physiotherapy treatment is effective when combined with other interventions such as a hydrodilatation or corticosteroid injection. This allows pain relief & a window to restore strength & range. Physiotherapy significantly improves anxiety around the condition, which is strongly linked to symptoms.

> supervised & progressive program
> supplemented with regular home program
> assisted strength & range program
> scapular mobility & coordination
> kinetic chain control & proprioception
